The International Medical Fair of Ecuador, MEDECU Show 2018, took place at the Centro de Convenciones de Guayaquil, Hall A, from October 26-28, 2018. The event attracted 5,230 registered visitors who participated in various activities.

MEDECU Show 2018 was groundbreaking in Ecuador, focusing on medical products presented by important national importers and manufacturers. It even attracted foreign companies that decided to participate.

The fair kicked off with a vibrant opening ceremony attended by 430 individuals from the public and private health sectors, as well as entrepreneurs.

Visitors enjoyed a variety of activities, including free lectures, real-time gynecological ultrasounds, resuscitation simulations, product raffles, and prizes for companies.

A total of 101 medical supplier companies participated, showcasing a wide range of products, from supplies to equipment, furniture, devices, consumables, and regulatory and financial services.

Seventeen free lectures were conducted, benefiting a total of 571 attendees.

The event also had a philanthropic aspect, with donations of products collected from exhibitors to be distributed to 9 foundations in need. Additionally, the fair organization donated two custom-made 3D printed upper limb prostheses for low-income patients.
